Red Sands as a Country Lodge invites all visitors, whether you are a
family on holiday, travelling for business, or enjoying a night out
with someone special. The Lodge offers a value-for-
money experience for everyone.
Discover a retreat that is nestled amongst the natural beauty of the
scenic Kuruman Hills, on the edge of the ancient Ghaap plateau, in
the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The Lodge is located within Farms
Cadwallader 776 and Corheim 774, which belong to Gamopedi
Communal Property Association, a NPO established in terms of the
Communal Property Association Act 28 of 1996.
The business operations and management is overseen by Red
Sands 23 (PTY) Ltd, a 100% blackowned company with 60% female
ownership.
Red Sands 23 has embarked on a journey to continue operating
this Lodge as a historical destination for tourism in the Northern
Cape as it has always been traditionally known for being amongst
the best in the hospitality destination for tourists around the globe.

Surrounding Area
Founded amongst the scenic Kuruman Hills, on the edge of the ancient Ghaap Plateau. Known as the “Oasis of the Kalahari”, Kuruman is an interesting destination for curious travellers.
The town is home to a famous natural geological feature known as the Eye of Kuruman, said to be one of the biggest natural springs in the southern hemisphere. The Batswana name for the fountain is Ga-Segonyana (“at the calabash”).

Red Sands Country Lodge offers 16 thatched-roof Rondawels consist of 2 and 3-sleeper units situated close to the restaurant and main buildings with views of the camping grounds and hills.
The thatched rondawels are air-conditioned and open plan with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and/or a bath. Amenities include a TV with DStv Guesthouse package, a bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Comfortable and spacious airconditioned rooms with double beds, en-suite bathrooms with shower, including Satelite TV with DSTV's Guest Package. These units are situated on a hillside, overlooking the lodge and valley.
All units include breakfast - Should you wish to not have breakfast, alternatively we offer a packed breakfast for guests who may wish to depart early.
Camping is a well priced alternative accommodation option for those travelling on a budget. We offer a number of electrified camping and caravan sites among shady camel thorn trees.
Each stand is equipped with a braai area. Campers can choose between using our clean communal ablution facilities, or opt for their own private ablution facility, which includes a toilet, basin, shower and outside washing basin.
